Slow living bed & breakfast

Surrounded by rolling landscapes and long views, Magnus Wittbjer and Micha van Dinther have created a place for relaxation and disconnection. On a limited surface, they wanted their B&B to give visitors the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the tranquility. The result is TypeO Loft – a one-room B&B surrounded by Skåne’s beautiful nature.
A traditional gray stone barn stands in the middle of Skåne’s plains. The loft is located in a separate part of the barn. With floor-to-ceiling windows, you look out over an open landscape.

“We dare say that the view is more captivating than any digital screen.”

– Magnus

The inside is just as astonishing. The roof goes up to a ridge with exposed beams and the furnishings are selected with precision.

A built-in kitchen in light oak was combined with the Accent Coal kitchen mixer. The matte black color Coal is used in the bathroom as well and contributes to the loft’s cohesive whole. When Magnus and Micha chose the interior of the loft, they followed their motto The More Of Less.

“A decluttered space is a decluttered mind. As space is limited at TypeO Loft, we have thought long and hard on what is essential, and what is merely excess.”

– Micha

The bathroom, dressed in a rustic appearance with concrete walls and ceiling, was furnished with a stainless steel washbasin and basin mixer in Coal. A wooden stool was added and gives the bathroom a soft touch.

Coal is based on the raw, industrial, and dark metals that were iconic during the age of steams’ heyday. The color is a nice contrast in the loft that weaves the rooms together and creates a connection that many people strive for when decorating.

The concrete bench provides an aesthetically pleasing relief surface for towels, soap and accessories.
“We have hand-picked beautiful and functional objects and details that add a deeper meaning to the loft….”
